Essay contest
To stimulate discussion on one of the most important issues of our democracy, the Québec Lobbyists Commissioner proposes a study topic each year for Québec universities. The question asked in 2010 was “Are public decision-makers at the mercy of lobbyists?” Three authors stood out:
- Maximilien Roy, Master’s of Business Administration student at the École nationale d’administration publique, First Prize;
- Gabrielle Dufour-Turcotte, Bachelor of Law student at the Université du Québec à Montréal, Second Prize;
- Audrey Garon, Bachelor’s degree student in Public Communication at Université Laval, Third Prize.
The Québec Lobbyists Commissioner will launch a fifth essay contest in the fall of 2010.
